Women have a unique way of showing up for one another. We encourage, nurture, and lift each other through life’s hardest moments—and together, we can help more women find healing, hope, and a place to become whole.

Gather your girlfriends and join us for an inspiring Girls’ Night Out as we kick off the excitement leading into Give4Marion 2026. You’ll discover how your voice, your generosity, and your influence can help transform the lives of women overcoming trauma, addiction, homelessness, and other life-controlling challenges.

Give4Marion Matters! Hosted by the Community Foundation of Ocala/Marion County, it all began in 2020 to help local nonprofits continue serving our community when traditional fundraising events came to a halt. What started as a two-day online giving event has grown into one of Marion County’s most impactful annual campaigns, raising more than $2.3 million for 111 local nonprofits in 2025.

Because of the incredible generosity of our community, His House for Her reached our $100,000 Give4Marion goal in 2025!

This year, we’re believing for even more.

As we step into an exciting season of growth with our new building project, we’re preparing to expand our reach, increase our housing capacity, and continue providing Christ-centered support services at no cost to the women we serve.

Whether you’ve supported us for years or are just discovering our mission, this is the perfect evening to learn how you can be part of what God is doing through His House for Her.

On July 31, 2026 we experienced an unforgettable night of encounter as one of our own staff members, Cynthia Biggs, shared her deeply personal testimony of how Jesus broke the chains of false identity and taught her to embrace who God says she is.

This was more than a testimony; it was an invitation to lay down the lies, receive God’s truth, and to encounter His presence in a personal way.

On May 29, 2026 we were thrilled to host Grant and Samantha Mahoney from this amazing ministry in Ireland, Ohel Moed.  The name, “Ohel Moed,” translates to “Tent of Meeting.” Just like the biblical tent where God’s presence was felt, their ministry aims to be a space where believers can encounter God in profound ways and surely we did this weekend!

On April 17, 2026 we welcomed Elizabeth Parker, Pastoral Counselor, of My Life Counsel here in Ocala.

This event was more than we expected as we took a deep dive into 2 Timothy 3:5-7 and learned how to be strong women in the Lord. An extended time of quiet, reflective prayer was led and this occurred from the safety of our seats with all eyes closed.  However, testimonies are still coming in as of 4 days later that women experienced the power of the Spirit for revelation and life change.

The crowd seemed to linger and not want to leave so we continued in worship together and opened the altar for continued prayer.  We are very much looking forward to another powerful time together May 29th and 30th with friends from Ohel Moed located in Ireland.

No event in March 2026 due to Staff Retreat

On February 27, 2026 we welcomed Paula Brown who invited us into a portion of her inner healing journey regarding Father Wounds.  She encouraged us in our relationship with God as our good, good, Father.

Paula and her husband, Ken, are the pastors of City Light Church in Ocala.  They have faithfully served there in full-time ministry since 1999.

Paula makes the most of every opportunity to help people encounter the Father’s heart so they can experience deep healing.  She loves to help others grow into life-giving relationships with the One who loves them most.

She has served in many areas of administration including several years as a school principal and administrator.  She has poured into the local community as the founder of the Ocala House of Prayer and the Healing Place of Ocala.  She has trained under Global Awakening, the Ministers Advanced SRA Training Academy, and is currently training with Whole Soul Counseling.

On January 30, 2026 we welcomed friend of the ministry Tandy Hicks of the Bee Bliss Gift Shop and City Light Church.

Tandy shared her spiritual journey about learning how to develop an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, coming to know him as her Bridegroom.  She helped us understand what that looks like in everyday life, how to develop it, and how we could be transformed as we learn to abide in Him and allow Him to shape our walks of faith.  She also discussed forgiving yourself.

Tandy surprised us with a sampling of her homemade, natural body products.  There was time to soak at the altar, if desired.  Prayer ministers were available.
